saturday 26 july. it was a launch true to the word.. the launch of the vcd "patan dhokaima" of the dixit siblings --eelum and himali-- at patan dhoka. the guests were invited through facebook, sms and word of mouth

some guests came from across the seas...



after waiting it out under the red canopied tent...


...the guests piled inside the baggikhana for a treat...

there were oldies and youngsters waiting for the show to begin...

.. and it began with a bang... the music video of 'patan dhokaima' featuring eelum and priya...












... in various locations around patan dhoka...

eelum goes 'dhokaima ho dhokaima ho dhokaima...'

then the siblings came on the stage... very much at ease...

the final celebration of the 'two-year-long' wedding

the two-year-ongoing-wedding of prarthana and ayoush finally got over with the reception at the radisson hotel on friday, 18th july. (of course, some of us pretended it was kripa's 30th birthday bash, with the wedding reception thrown in!!)

the party was a very interesting one with a whole range of guests from the academia, engineering background to bankers and relatives.

some of us family members went in early to take formal pictures when we and our apparels, were still fresh!

of course that meant waiting in queue for one's turn for the photoshoot



then after a whole lot of preparations...

...and varying directions...



..the formal photoshoot finally gets under way














soon the guests started to trickle in...

..and in no time the hall was packed to the brim with guests

.. there were artists..

...happy and healthy smilers...

...the elderly...

... and babies too

there were cousins galore...


























...there were twins...

...and samdhinis...

...and even lamdhi lamdhinis...

...there were nuns..

... and policy makers...

... school friends...

... and first cousins...

the female folks enjoy in one corner...

...and the males in the other...

.. the reception turned out to be a big rediscovoring relatives, especially for the dixit clan

then the joshi didi bahini start the 'sister act'

then it's time for priya to spin with ashish...

...before the sisters demonstrate the spin...

and the 'kri'-duo finish off the spinning round

and then the finale....let's dance the last dance together....





















... and that was how it happened.. prarthana and ayoush' "wedding-spread-over-two-years"
and who knows... maybe in two more years this is what the chhoti si parivar will look like!
