shivaratri day started out very hazy and warm.. and ended cloudy and chilly. i was up on thew roofin the morning trying to catch some helicopter action, as shivaratri is also army day...
the shivaratri bandaai had the crows flying helter skelter
these sparrows, though we busy enjoying their bird bath
.. this pigeon seems to be telling me.. "again? up in the roof with your camera? what's the big deal? it's the same routine, the same taam dhaam every year!"
.. and way above a flock of migratory birds probably heading north to cooler climes

. .. then the birds of the other kind arrive... probably to rescue soldiers from a burning building (yes, as the pigeon remarked.. it's the same routine every year!)... such hazy skies

.. and then the parachuters' turn.. yet again...
... meanwhile the rest of the helicopters hover in the outskirts...
.. as does the lone plane.. no avros and skyvan this time...

.. in the afternoon the old adage of 'it always rains on shivaratri day' comes true. seemed it went a bit further in patan side with hail too!
