in the streets of nepalgunj

a taste of my impressions from the streets and gullies of nepalgunj during my two and a half days' stay in the city... a dusty, often dirty, lively, colourful, amalgam of old and new... intriguing...

a city bakri gwala

... a sorry ass...

and a fluffier, happier one...

modern shops...

.. and oranges galore...

timro hamro momo

bhussa headed for the brick kiln or factory

early morning steaming plucking

ulta tang wala tanga

this horse is named salman khan!

.. this one is hira..

.. and bhola.. pyaar se log mujhe bholu kehte hain!
at the santoshi shrine...

nepali movie posters are looking trendier...

headed for rupedia acorss the border

phewa barrymore?

roadside mending

.. and pakoda vending...

young hands on the rein

amrood from uttar pradesh

!!

!!!!!!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

chamero

grass for the horses being cut in ghasyara tole...

.. while women on the side weave paat

and kids get attracted to the digital camera...

phuchhey panipuri vendor

sorting kawaad on the road

and flies resting on green... why green only?

tribhuvan-less tribhuvan chowk

denture venture

.. katrina's lotus recline...

above a badaam vendor

the 'nepalgunj eye'

and a game of cricket

... a sonalika harvest

yesterday's dusky horizon

the labour bajar

and colour branded chicks

!!

to attract simana paari eyes..

kauli from local fields

returning from school

pedalling by///

this was the newish moon horizon today taken at the airport

Thank you for a nice tour of Nepalgunj.

I used to bring Khuwaa from Nepalgunj for my friends and family members. Hope Khuwaa business has not disappeared from Nepalgunj.
